Examination and Promotion
- Regular periodical tests will be held in addition to the May and December Unit Tests and Terminal Exams September and March in every academic year. Promotion will depend on these tests and examination. Children of K.G. to Class II will have regular weekly tests.
- Pupils absent from an examination for any reason are not re-examined and those absent from an examination without any grave reason will be considered failed. In case of illness, doctor’s certificate should have to be produced.
- No candidate will be admitted to take any of the examinations unless all school dues have been paid in full.
- Wilful break of any of the regulations during the conduct of examination is punishable with expulsion from the examination or if subsequently discovered with cancelling of the paper.
- The Pupils are strictly forbidden to lend or borrow stationery in the examination hall.
- Students found copying consulting and carrying answer slips to the examination will be liable for punishment such as detention in the same class.
- Applications for the verification of marks may be considered in special cases at the discretion of the Principal.
- Eligibility for Promotion: –
- a) No student is generally eligible to appear in the second terminal examination unless he/she has attended at least 75% of the actual teaching/working days of the session as per the school calendar.
- b) In genuine cases the Principal may however condone the shortage in attendance not exceeding 10% of the actual teaching/working day a session.
- Promotion to a higher class depends upon:
- a) Regularity in attendance.
- b) Regularity and quality of day-to-day participation in the class activity.
- c) Opinion of the teachers teaching the class.
- d) Written work and projects assigned by the subject teachers. (sessional marks are based on A,B,C and D grades)
- e) Besides the two-terminal examination, the weightage of the unit tests will be taken into consideration for promotion to the next class.
- f) A candidate failing in one or two subjects may be given promotion provided he/she has secured at least 35% of marks in each of the subject.
- Results declared at the end of the year are final in all respects and will not be reconsidered.
- A pupil failing twice in the same class will have to discontinue his/her studies in the school.
- Parents are required to sign the report cards during the Parent-Teacher meeting.
